Thanks for your response! From my POV, one of the most important aspects of an MVP is the “V” in the abbreviation — a “Viability”. I understand it as the ability of this minimum product to survive in a market environment. Only then you’re able to test the real product-market fit: demand, profitability, the meeting of the need, etc.
Totally agree that the MVP is a prototype and can be just a fraction of the final full-featured product. However, I don’t agree that for example a 3D render of a car body would a sell well to the same audience as a real car — therefore the feedback from “real customers” would be miss leading.
If you miss this viability aspect, then you have just an artefact/prototype great for a user testing, usability validation etc. but not an MVP.
